The PPRSF is a judged competition open to all secondary students (grades 6-12) from

Elbert, El Paso, Park and Teller Counties with projects in

SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, MATH AND COMPUTER SCIENCE.

Students presenting 39 projects from the 2019 PPRSF attended the Colorado Science and Engineering Fair in Ft Collins on April 11.  Many students earned category and special awards. A complete list of the awards presented at CSEF can be found at:

The 2019 PPRSF was held on Saturday, February 23 and the awards presentation was held on Tuesday, February 26.   

Thanks to the many volunteers and the staff at both UCCS and CC.

Approximately $8000 in category prizes and special awards are presented each year at the PPRSF.  Top projects are invited to participate in the CSEF and the ISEF.

THE 2019 PIKES PEAK REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR WAS HELD ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2019.    

The Awards Presentation was held on Tuesday, February 26th, in the Mohrmann Theater at Colorado College.

INFORMATION ON THE 2020 PPRSF WILL BE AVAILABLE IN MAY.

Registration for students for the 2019 PPRSF is now CLOSED, but students who qualified for the CSEF competition may continue to access and upload required forms.

The PPRSF is an ISEF affiliated regional fair and all projects must comply with ISEF rules.  The Intel ISEF Rules and Guidelines for 2019 can be found at: https://student.societyforscience.org/intel-isef-forms

Here are the steps needed to complete your registration and be be entered to compete in the 2019 PPRSF:

  • All required forms need to be completed and uploaded on the PAPERWORK section of this website. [See the Uploading Forms PDF found below ]
  • The PPRSF SRC will review all paperwork and either approve each form or give detailed feedback for steps required for approval.  
  • When all required forms are approved, the project will be approved and experimentation can begin. This process usually takes 2 - 14 days, depending on needed corrections. 
  • Projects must be approved by the PPRSF SRC or a school SRC prior to beginning experimentation.
  • Once required paperwork is completed and uploaded to this website, the 2019 PPRSF Project Information Sheet (2019 PPRSF Individual Project Information Sheet.pdf) should be printed and completed.  ** Please note - no other forms need to be mailed / delivered to PPRSF.  Original, completed ISEF forms should be kept in a project folder and be available on the day of the CSEF fair.

STUDENT REGISTRATION CLOSED ON JANUARY 23, 2019

Registering on this website gives you access to all paperwork submitted by your students (if they select you as their teacher).  It also allows us to contact you with updates and questions.  If you are already registered, please check to be sure that your school and contact information is accurate.

The 2019 PPRSF was held on Saturday, February 23th at UCCS.   The awards presentation was held on Tuesday, February 26th, in the Mohrmann Theater at Colorado College.

Teachers can register at any time by selecting the Create Account tab at the top of the page.  Registration for students for the 2019 PPRSF is now CLOSED, but registered students have access to their paperwork through May 2019.

We use 3 types of volunteers each year:

     Category Judges - will judge for place awards and should be available from 7 AM - 3:30 PM on the day of the fair.  

     Special Awards Judges - will judge for various special awards using criteria supplied by the award donor and should be available from about 9:00 AM to noon on fair day  (this is somewhat flexible). 

     General Volunteers - these folks will be used for registration, manning the help desk, serving lunch, general organizational tasks.  The hours are flexible for any time between 7 AM and 4 PM.
