The PPRSEF is a judged competition open to any secondary student (grade 6-12)

from Elbert, El Paso, Park and Teller Counties with individual or team projects in

SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, MATH AND COMPUTER SCIENCE.

The 2020 CSEF was held as a virtual fair.  Twenty-six PPRSEF projects were entered. Category awards and a limited number of

 The Virtual 2021 PPRSEF was held on Saturday, February 20, 2021. 

Special Award Juding took place from February 17th - February 20th using the Digital Project Displays posted on the Showcase.  This did not involve student interviews. 

Category judging, including virtual interviews, was conducted on Saturday, February 20th.  

The Showcase will be open for public viewing on Sunday, February 21st, from 12:00 - 6:00 pm at   https://pprsf.zfairs.com/app/showcase   (With the exception of the Open House hours, the Showcase is locked to outside viewers.)

The 2021 PPRSEF Results will be posted on this website  by 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23rd.

Although the fair will be virtual, the process of getting project ideas approved, desigining and conducting the exploration has not changed.

The PPRSEF is an ISEF affiliated regional fair and all projects must comply with ISEF rules. All projects require completion of Form 1,

Form 1A, Form 1B and Form 3.  Other forms may be needed, depending on the project. Individual forms can downloaded on the

Here are the steps needed to complete your registration and be be entered to compete in the 2021 PPRSEF:

  • Students must complete the process of creating an account on this website no later than January 20, 2021.  
  • All required forms need to be completed and uploaded on the PAPERWORK section of this website. [See the Uploading Forms PDF found below ]
  • The PPRSEF SRC will review all paperwork and either approve each form or give detailed feedback for steps required for approval.  
  • When all required forms are approved, the project will be approved and experimentation can begin. This process usually takes 2 - 14 days, depending on needed corrections. 
  • Projects must be approved by the PPRSEF SRC or a school SRC prior to beginning experimentation.
  • Required paperwork should completed and uploaded to this website starting in September.
  • ** Original, completed ISEF forms should be kept in a project folder. 
  • A completed Project Information Form, a signed 1B Form & payment must be received NO LATER THAN JANUARY 28, 2021

When data collection is complete, students will complete and upload a Digital Display. 

The Digital Display items replace the project display board in a traditional science fair. 

 *Digital displays must be submitted by  February 16th to allow category and special awards judges to review the projects before virtual interviews are held on Saturday, February 20, 2021.

Students are asked to upload a digital display and an abstract.  In addition, a 2-3 minute video and up to 3 additional images or documents may be uploaded.

Teachers can register at any time by selecting the Create Account tab at the top of the page.  Registering on this website gives you access to all paperwork submitted by your students (if they select you as their teacher).  It also allows us to contact you with updates and questions.  If you are already registered, please check to be sure that your school and contact information is accurate.

We use 3 types of volunteers each year, although this may change for the 2021 PPRSEF

     Category Judges - will judge (virtually) for category place awards.  More information for registering to be a category judge will be available soon.

     Special Awards Judges - will judge (virtually) for various special awards using criteria supplied by the award donor. Contact us at pprsef.colorado@gmail.com if you are interested in serving as a special awards judge.  

     General Volunteers - Since our fair will be held virtually this year, we do not have a need for general volunteers.  Thank you for your interest - please check back with us next year!
