The PPRSEF is an ISEF affiliated science fair. All projects must meet the requirements set up by The International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), a program of Society for Science , the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. The complete guidebook of 2024 rules and guidelines can be found at: https://www.societyforscience.org/isef/international-rules/

Display and Safety rules for the 2024 PPRSEF can be found on the Student and Teacher Main Pages of the website. These rules apply to digital displays just as welll as the physical display board.

Student registraion for the 2024 PPRSEF will be open from August 1, 2023 through January 20, 2024.

The PPRSEF is open to all 6th - 12th grade students in any educational setting (public, charter, private or home school) in Elbert, El Paso, Park or Teller County. Projects may be entered by individuals or teams of 2 or 3 students.

Students are required to have projects approved by the PPRSEF SRC or a school SRC before experimentation begins. Please check with us at pprsef.colorado@gmail.com if you have questions.

** Original, completed ISEF forms should be kept in a project folder and be available for SRC review if needed.

The Pikes Peak Regional Science Fair, Incorporated (PPRSF) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to stimulating and encouraging youthful interest in science and scientific endeavors through student participation in regional, state, and international science fairs. The Pikes Peak Regional Science and Engineering Fair serves students in grades 6 through 12 in all school districts (including private schools, parochial schools, and home schools) in Elbert, Teller, Park, and El Paso Counties.  There is no requirement for students to participate in a school or area fair to enter the PPRSEF.

2024 will mark the 67th annual Pikes Peak Regional Science Fair.  Additional facts about the PPRSEF may be found ou the 2024 PPRSEF Fact Sheet.

             FACT SHEET FOR 2024 PPRSEF - 6.21.2023.pdf

We plan to hold the 2024 PPRSEF as an in-person competition.

For students in grades 4 and 5, the Pikes Peak Elementary Science and Engineering Fair is usually held in April at Mitchell High School.  The fair is for students in grades 4 and 5 who place at their school science fairs in the categories of Biology, Physical, Health and Behavioral, Consumer Science or Engineering Design.  Interested participants can contact Darian Founds at darian.founds@d11.org for more information.

Public Display

Only PPRSEF Board members, judges and registered volunteers will have access to student projects during the judging process.

Our Public Open House will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 3:00 - 4:00 pm in Berger Hall at UCCS
